October kicked off with service as David volunteered his time with the City of Treasure Island’s Beautify T.I. He and other residents assisted city maintenance crew with laying sod and cultivating plants at the recreation center. Each week he continued to mentor his Lunch Pal mentee, he volunteered with the Clearwater Bar Foundation’s Pro Bono Clinic, and finished off the month with a big morning of volunteering at the St. Pete Free Clinic’s Fall Festival. David got out and engaged with concerned business leaders and citizens on the future of employers and employees as the minimum wage in Florida will eventually be $15. David also had an opportunity to speak to law students at Stetson regarding the process of a criminal juvenile case. Halloween brought the opportunity for David and campaign committee members to engage with the public at the Car Free Halloween event along Central Avenue in St. Petersburg.
