Meet David Constantine Moran
Candidate for Pinellas County Judge, Group 1
Board Certified Criminal Trial Lawyer with over 17 years experience.
David Moran has over 14 years as an Assistant Public Defender and 3 years as a private practitioner.
He has handled just about every criminal case from a 2nd Degree Misdemeanor to First Degree-Capital Murder, and has appeared before countless Pinellas County and Circuit Judges. He has also represented clients in traffic court, family law, and landlord/tenant before a civil court judge.
David Moran works daily in the court room and has practiced before every criminal circuit judge in Pinellas, every criminal county judge in Pinellas, and a handful of judges in Pasco and the civil/family bench. David Moran knows what it takes to be a judge and the hard work it entails. David will work hard for the citizens of Pinellas County as your next County Judge in Group 1.

Family Man
David was born in Fayetteville, NC while his father was stationed at Fort Bragg Army Base. After short stints in Hawaii, back at Fort Bragg, and Fort Stewart, GA, his family returned to their St. Petersburg roots in 1985. David graduated from Boca Ciega High School (1995), Florida State University (1999) and Widener-Delaware Law School (2003).
On his mother's side (Celma Louise Mastry), David is a member of St. Pete's well-known Mastry family. David attended Cross Bayou Elementary, Most Holy Name Catholic School and Azalea Elementary. David also attended Azalea Middle School. David currently lives in St. Pete with his wife, Amy, son, Brady, and dog, Boston.
Community Leader
Through the lessons David learned from his grandparents, Eugene and Celma Nini Mastry, David has been giving back to and is involved in every Pinellas County community he has lived in.
David is a Board Member of the Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation (since 2008 and co-creator of the Annual One Step Closer to the Cure Race)

Local Athlete / Former Coach
In addition to having completed the coveted Ironman race in 2015, David Moran competes in several local road races and smaller triathlons. He lettered in Football and Track in High School, played Junior Varsity Basketball and was the Team Manager for the Boca Ciega Boys Basketball team his junior and senior years (they won the Class 4A State Championship in 1994). David obtained college scholarships through being a student manager for the Men's Basketball teams at Southeastern Louisiana University and Florida State University. In between undergrad and law school, David was a volunteer Assistant Coach with the Boy's Basketball teams at his high school alma mater, and then during the 2003-2004 season, he was the Boca Ciega Boy's Junior Varsity Basketball Head Coach. David has also had the pleasure of coaching some of his son's Tee-ball, Basketball, Flag Football and Soccer teams.
